As AI and technology take over more of the daily processes in our organisations, the role of the leader is changing. When routine decisions, reporting and coordination are increasingly handled by systems, what remains for leaders is the work that needs judgement, trust, empathy and the ability to bring people along through change. This roundtable explores why emotional intelligence is becoming a decisive leadership competence, and what that means for how we recruit and develop managers. The discussion looks at which competencies we need to strengthen and give more weight to in leadership recruitment, how to assess them in a credible way, and how to update leadership profiles for a workplace where people and technology work side by side.
Explore the sessions designed to spark meaningful conversations and connections:
Anna's presentation covers how AI and automation are reshaping the daily work of leaders, why empathy, self-awareness and relationship building become more critical as technology takes over more processes, and which leadership competencies organisations should prioritise in recruitment. She will also share how to assess EQ, adaptability and learning agility in practice, and how to build leadership profiles that combine human skills with technological understanding.
